"'Alive'" is a song performed by Austrian-Filipino singer Vincent Bueno. It was chosen to represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 on 12 December 2019.
Background
After being selected to represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, Bueno said, "Wow, even thinking about the fact that I am going to participate in the song contest gives me goosebumps [...] it is breathtaking and formidable. Lets go Austria!"
Eurovision Song Contest
The song was suppose represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, after Vincent Bueno was internally selected by the Austrian broadcaster ORF on 12 December 2019. The song would perform in one of the two semi-finals. On 28 January 2020, a special allocation draw was held which placed each country into one of the two semi-finals, as well as which half of the show they would perform in. Austria was placed into the second semi-final, to be held on 14 May 2020, and was scheduled to perform in the first half of the show.
