"'Method Man'" is the B-side to the single "Protect Ya Neck" from the critically acclaimed debut album by the Wu-Tang Clan titled 'Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)'. It was a solo track for the first successful solo star of the Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man. The song was chosen by 'The Source' as one of 100 best rap singles. The refrain of the song (M-E-T-H-O-D) draws from the 1985 Hall & Oates hit "Method of Modern Love" from 'Big Bam Boom'.

It is featured on 'The RZA Hits' compilation. The remix is featured on Method Man's debut album, 'Tical'.

"Torture" the introduction to the song includes dialogue between Method Man and Raekwon detailing various methods of torture. In an interview with Complex, Method Man recalled how [The torture skit] was some block shit that we used to do because when dudes was snapping, a lot of personal shit would come out and dudes would get angry behind that shit. Youd be amazed at some of the mother jokes that come up. When you do it [like the Chef and I did it], you saying the most outlandish shit in the world knowing damn well nobody gon really do shit like that to you. But its funny at the same time, just some of the shit n****s think of."
