"'La Pachanga'" is a 1959 song by Eduardo Davidson, which is considered the classic example of the pachanga genre.Candelaria, Cordelia; Garca, Peter J.; Aldama, Arturo J. (2004). 'Encyclopedia of Latino Popular Culture', vol. 2, p. 607. The song was premiered by the Charanga band of the flautist Melquiades Fundora in Havana.'Cuban Music from A to Z Helio Orovio', 2004, p. 207 The lyrics include an invitation to the dance: "Seores que pachanga, me voy con la pachanga.
