Wikipedia article

"'When the Sun Comes Out'" is a song composed by Harold Arlen, with lyrics written by Ted Koehler, in 1941. It was introduced in 1941 by Helen O'Connell with the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra (Decca 3657A).

Barbra Streisand recording

Streisand recorded the song October 26, 1962, at Columbia's Studio C, some months before her first album sessions. This version, arranged and conducted by George Williams, became her first commercial single in November, 1962, with "Happy Days Are Here Again" on the A-side. Only 500 copies of this single were pressed for the New York market, and no copies were sent to radio stations.

Streisand re-recorded the song on June 3, 1963, for 'The Second Barbra Streisand Album'.
