'Incredible but True' is a 2022 French-Belgian comedy film written and directed by Quentin Dupieux. It stars Alain Chabat, La Drucker, Benot Magimel and Anas Demoustier.
Plot
A couple living in a quiet suburb soon have their lives turned upside down by a mysterious tunnel in the basement of their new home.

Production
In early January 2021 Wild Bunch International announced the release of several French films despite the strict restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of those movies would be "Incroyable mais vrai", a comedy movie directed by Quentin Dupieux.
Shooting was wrapped in late 2020 and the film premiered at the 72nd Berlin Film Festival as a Berlinale Special Gala.
Reception
On review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 88% based on 8 reviews, with an average rating of 7.30/10. Metacritic assigned the film a weighted average score of 76 out of 100, based on 6 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews".
