'Good Night Oppy' is a 2022 American documentary film directed by Ryan White.
It had its world premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival on September 13, 2022. It is scheduled to be released in a limited release on November 4, 2022 by Amazon Studios, prior to streaming on Prime Video on November 23, 2022.
Synopsis
The inspirational true story of the veteran interplanetary vehicle 'Opportunity', nicknamed 'Oppy', a Mars rover who originally was expected to live for only 90 sols but ultimately explored Mars for nearly 15 years.
Production
In March 2021, it was announced that Amazon Studios, Film 45, Amblin Television and Tripod Media are co-producing 'Good Night Oppy', a feature about the Mars exploration rover 'Opportunity'.
