'The Taste of Relations' is a family drama/thriller film directed and produced by Mukesh Asopa, a Canadian director and producer. It was released in 2009 by Asopa Film Incorporation and Twinkle Productions. It is the second film from the Canadian-based Asopa Films Incorporation, Twinkle Productions and Asopa Films International. The first was Aisha and Rahul.

The Taste of Relation revolves around an Indian family living in Canada. It exemplifies the misfortunes and joyful times of the family, along with exploring the themes of family values and loss. This film is a culmination of western culture and eastern values highlighting sacrifice and a lesson for the younger generation.

The Taste of Relation won the Van Gogh Award for Cinematography at the Amsterdam Film Festival in 2010 and Special Jury Award at the California Film Awards. The film earned global acclaim at several international festivals.

Plot



Raj, John, and Cathrine, children of Ram Nandi, an entrepreneur based in Canada, live as a happy family until financial adversities strike due to Rajs reckless business decisions, causing emotional turmoil amongst the family members.

As a family drama, The Taste of Relation highlights the power of love and family values with the added themes of religion, culture, drama, business, love and sacrifice. It shows how circumstances can separate relatives and how brave acts of love can bring them back together.
