'Being Michael Madsen' is a 2007 comedy film directed by Michael Mongillo and produced by Daniel A. Sherkow. The film co-stars Virginia Madsen, David Carradine, Harry Dean Stanton, Daryl Hannah, Lacey Chabert, and Debbie Rochon.[https://www.variety.com/review/VE1117935597.html?categoryid=31&cs=1 Being Michael Madsen, Variety, December 6, 2007][https://web.archive.org/web/20091119114813/http://movies.nytimes.com/movie/419076/Being-Michael-Madsen/overview Being Michael Madsen, AllMovie/New York Times][http://boxoffice.com/reviews/2008/02/being-michael-madsen.php Being Michael Madsen, Box Office Magazine, February 15, 2008]

Despite a 5/5 Film Threat review, as well as positive press from the likes of 'Variety' and 'BoxOffice', and a selection to become part of the New Horizons Film Festival mockumentary retrospective (alongside such acclaimed films as 'This is Spinal Tap' and 'Man Bites Dog'), Madsen revealed that he regretted doing the film in a 2015 interview with 'The A.V. Club'.[https://www.avclub.com/article/michael-madsen-donnie-brasco-free-willy-and-life-t-216261 Michael Madsen on Donnie Brasco, Free Willy, and life in the Tarantino club]
