'The Idiot Returns' is a 1999 Czech film directed by Saa Gedeon. The movie is loosely based on 'The Idiot' by Fyodor Dostoevsky. It was the Czech Republic's submission to the 72nd Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee.
Plot
Frantiek returns from a mental institution where he spent most of his life. He meets Anna, and later her lovers Emil and Robert, and her sister Olga.
