' Ghar Ki Izzat' is a 1994 Hindi-language drama film, produced by Kanu Chauhan under the Raj Sun Films banner and directed by Kalpataru. It stars Jeetendra, Rishi Kapoor, Kader Khan, Asha Parekh, Juhi Chawla, Anita Raj , and music composed by Amar-Utpal. The film is a remake of the Bengali film 'Bhangagara' (1954).

Plot



The film begins with a joint family. Ram Kumar its paterfamilias lives delightfully with his ideal wife Seeta and three devoted brothers Sohan, Mohan, and Shyam. Ram strives, earns well, and civilizes his brothers. Geeta the younger sister of Seeta a child widow also leaves with them. Mohan & Geeta always squabble and are in love. Ram knits Sohan & Shyam with Sheela daughter of his allegiant Dindayal & Mona daughter of a millionaire respectively. Soon after, Sheela, a haughty feels offended when Geeta welcomes her and begrudges Seeta. Consequently, she kindles snobbish Mona when solidarity and equilibrium break up in the family. Annoyed by the pestering of Sheela, Sohan quits the house. Once in a quarrel, Sheela & Mona announce Geeta as a widow. Hence, she deprives the house and Mohan. In tandem, Sheetal, the spiteful brother of Mona conspires to send a legal notice to Ram for the share in the property of which Shyam is unbeknownst. Here, Ram collapses, apportions the entire property to his brothers, and leaves for his village. Mohan too accompanies him and Ram slowly losses his heath out of depression. Hence, Mohan moves in search of a job to aid his family. Besides, Sheetal backstabs Sheela and expels her when Dindayal also loathes her. Now, she repents, pleads pardon from Ram & Seeta, and starts serving them. Meanwhile, Mohan becomes a popular singer. On his way back, he spots Sheetal plotting an assault on Shyam & Mona. However, he rescues them, learns the actuality, and ceases the Sheetal. Immediately they rush to Ram including Sohan & Geeta. By the time, Ram is on his deathbed but he recovers from their idolization. At last, the family is reunited. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Mohan & Geeta.
