'American Heart' tells the story of a recently released convict Jack (Jeff Bridges) who looks up with his 14-year-old son Nick (Edward Furlong) in Seattle. As far as Jack's concerned its just a visit, but with his mother now dead, Nick is in desperate need for a father and insists on joining him on Seattle's skid row. Production and inspiration
