'Ghar Sansar' is a 1986 Indian Hindi-language drama film, produced by Vimal Kumar under the Shivam Chitrya banner and directed by K. Bapaiah. It stars Jeetendra, Sridevi and music composed by Rajesh Roshan. The film is remake of the Telugu movie 'Maga Maharaju' (1983), starring Chiranjeevi, Suhasini in the pivotal roles.

Plot



The film begins with a bourgeoisie family, its paterfamilias Satyanarayan struggles hard for their survival which consists of his wife Lakshmi, an old mother, two sons Prakash & Chandan, and two daughters Savitri & Tulasi. Additionally, his parasite brother-in-law Banwari & sister Gauri cling to and pester for their dowry. Prakash is a well-educated unemployed youth. Once, he squabbles with a girl Radha daughter of multimillionaire Giridhari Lal who is a snobbish and cheapskate. In an interview, Girdhari Lal mocks Prakash when he uprisings on him. Overseeing it, Radha admires him, challenges her father to live a hard life, and quits the house.

Since Prakash fails to fetch a job, he turns into an ironsmith that is despised by his family but he respects the dignity of labor. During that time, Radha in disguise joins as a servant at his residence. Furthermore, she unwaveringly shares their pains when Prakash falls for her. Chandan becomes a spoilt brat by mingling with a ruffian Ringo. Parallelly, a foxy Bankelal one that resembles Giridhari Lal conspires with a goon David, and abducts and forges as him but avail to open his locker. Meanwhile, Satyanarayan fixes an alliance for Savitri, with a wealthy Kishanlal's son Ramesh, and raises the fund. That is heisted by Chandan which Gauri again steals and Banwari misuses it for his profligacy. As well as, Savitri decides not to fall as a burden, so, she leaves the house. All these aspects result in the death of Satyanarayan. Soon after, the debtors seek their arrears when Prakash shoulders the responsibility.

Besides, as it happens unfeasible to open the locker Bankelal finds the whereabouts of Radha and brings her back. Immediately, she identifies him, and Prakash rescues her father which makes Giridhari Lal reform. Now, Prakash takes up the challenge of cycling continuously for 8 days and triumphs. Afterward, Prakash notices the reprobate Chandan is snatching the prize amount too. So, he strikes him when Chandan insurgents and gets off the house. Then, Prakash finds Savitri and learns that Ramesh has married her but avaricious Kishanlal separated them. Here, Prakash set right her life, and with a play, Radha necks out Banwari & Gauri. At this juncture, Chandan attempts to destroy his family's honor. Anyhow, Prakash manfully encounters it, ceases the baddies, and makes Chandan realize his mistake. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the reunion of the family.
