'Bang!' is a 1977 Swedish drama film directed by Jan Troell. It was entered into the 1977 Cannes Film Festival. Hkan Serner won the award for Best Actor at the 13th Guldbagge Awards.Films and Filming - Volume 24 - Page 23 1977 - The saddest failure of the season was Jan Troell's Bang! (1977), his first feature since the ill-fated Zandy's Bride (1975) and his first Swedish feature since the early Seventies. Based on Sven Christer Swahn's short story 'Orgeljadlunkten' (The Organ Teacher), Bang! is an extremely personal document about artistic ambitions at the sudden onset of middle- age. Variety's Film Reviews: 1975-1977 0835227944 "Bang! " has its title from a Charlie Schulz Snoopy balloon: "When I was a puppy, every day was a happy day. Suddenly, BANG! and I am in my declining years."
