'The White Horse Inn' (originally 'Im weien Rl') is a 1960 Austrian-West German musical film directed by Werner Jacobs and starring Peter Alexander, Waltraut Haas and Adrian Hoven.Fritsche, Maria. 'Homemade Men in Postwar Austrian Cinema: Nationhood, Genre and Masculinity'. Berghahn Books, 2013. p. 204. It is based on the 1930 operetta 'The White Horse Inn by Ralph Benatzky and Robert Stolz[https://web.archive.org/web/20090207033315/http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/title/611289 BFI.org]

The film's sets were designed by the art directors Willy Schatz, Wolf Englert and Sepp Rothaur. It was shot at the Bergland Studios in Wels in Upper Austria and on location in St. Wolfgang.
