'The Lie' is a 1950 West German crime film directed by Gustav Frhlich and starring Otto Gebhr, Sybille Schmitz and Cornell Borchers.Bock & Bergfelder p. 139

The film's sets were designed by the art director Franz Schroedter. Location shooting took place around Hamburg.
