Production
Film was shot at esk ternberk Castle, Lipnice nad Szavou, Psek, Tnov train station in Prague, Divok rka, Rataje nad Szavou, Svtl nad Szavou quarry, Zvkov Castle, Havlkv Brod, Zru nad Szavou, Jlov u Prahy, Lede nad Szavou and Stbrn Skalice.
Filming started in 1944 during Nazi occupation produced by German-run Nationalfilm. After the liberation in 1945 the movie was finished by eskoslovensk filmov spolenost. Actress Anna Steimarov was replaced by Marie Jekov.
