'The Inspector General' (Czech: 'Revizor') is a 1933 Czech historical comedy film directed by Martin Fri and starring Vlasta Burian, Jaroslav Marvan and Vclav Trgl. It is an adaptation of the 1836 play 'The Inspector General' by Nikolai Gogol.Goble p.928 The director Martin Fri considered it one of his best movies.

The film's sets were designed by the art director tpn Kopeck. It was shot in studios in Prague.
