The Power of One (film)

'The Price of Divorce' is a 1928 British silent drama film directed by Sinclair Hill and starring Miriam Seegar, Wyndham Standing and Frances Day.[https://web.archive.org/web/20090113224807/http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/title/40011 BFI.org] The screenplay concerns a doctor's wife who wishes to marry her lover, and so concocts a charge of adultery against her husband in order to divorce him. The film was based on a novel by Reginald Fogwell. It was made at Cricklewood Studios by Stoll Pictures.

'The Price of Divorce' was never released as a silent film, but was adapted for sound and released two years later as 'Such Is the Law' (1930).
