'Disappointment Blvd.' is an upcoming American comedy horror film written, directed, and produced by Ari Aster. It stars Joaquin Phoenix, Nathan Lane, Patti LuPone, Amy Ryan, Kylie Rogers, Parker Posey, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Hayley Squires, Michael Gandolfini, Zoe Lister-Jones, and Richard Kind. The film was produced by A24 in the company's third collaboration with Aster, after 'Hereditary' (2018) and 'Midsommar' (2019). It is set to be released in 2023.

Production
On June 1, 2020, Ari Aster said his next film would be a four-hour long "nightmare comedy". On February 28, 2021, A24 announced 'Disappointment Blvd.' as its third partnership with Aster, following 'Hereditary' (2018) and 'Midsommar' (2019), with Joaquin Phoenix on board to star. The film's ensemble cast was announced in June and July. Henderson described Aster and Phoenix as "so simpatico ... their way of working together was like they were really old friends. They could get upset and make up in the span of seconds, it seemed. But the work was always the better for it." Principal photography was scheduled to begin on June 28, 2021, and concluded in October. The film was shot in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, an off-island suburb of Montreal in Quebec, with cinematographer Pawel Pogorzelski and production designer Fiona Crombie.
Release
The film is set to be released in 2023, following a delay from its original 2022 schedule.
