'South Wind' is a 2018 Serbian crime film directed by Milo Avramovi. The plot follows a member of an underground gang in Belgrade who puts his and his family's life in danger when he crosses a mafia worker working for the police. The film was released in August 2018 and was a huge success, receiving critical acclaim in its home country and making over 2,365,712 against a budget of 360,000.
A sequel, 'South Wind: Acceleration', was released on November 4, 2021.

Adaptations
A TV series based on the film was announced in 2019 and premiered on January 19 2020. A second season was announced the same year but is currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A sequel to the film titled 'South Wind 2: Acceleration' is set to be released in February 2021.
