'Tarap' is a 2006 Pakistani Urdu film directed by Sangeeta. The film was a flop in Lahore, but successful in Karachi. It was shot in Dubai and Lahore. It is known for its popular soundtrack.

Release



The film was released on 24 October 2006 (Pakistan), Eid al-Fitr. This is a big-budget film (by local standards at least) shot in locations in both Dubai and Pakistan. It was a hit, but flopped in Lahore. The film was hyped enough by local media due to its budget.

Trivia



With Tarap, Sangeeta seemed determined not to repeat past mistakes. "It is a family-oriented film with a strong social message. If it fails, I will be forced to reconsider making Punjabi action movies once again," she said.
