Wikipedia article

'A Century in Stone' is a 2004 documentary film depicting the rise of Eston's iron and steel industry.

It is 118 minutes long and the project was funded by the first 75,000 fellowship award from NESTA that was awarded in the north-east.

Launched in 2004, "A Century in Stone" attracted over four-thousand people to clubs and halls across Teesside before becoming the first local film to be shown at a Teesside multiplex. In its first week, it outsold Hollywood competition to become the Xmas 2004 VHS/DVD bestseller in Teesside.

The film toured Australia in 2005, screening in various towns, and beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which had been made in Teesside.
