'Voices in the Night' (Spanish Las voces de la noche) is a 2003 Spanish film directed by :es:Salvador Garca Ruiz based on the Spanish translation of the Italian novel 'Le voci della sera' (1961; Voices in the Evening 1963) by Natalia Ginzburg. Ruiz relocates the setting from an Italian village to a Spanish one, but keeps the setting in the 1950s. Lorenzo J. Torres Hortelano -Directory of World Cinema: Spain 1841504637 2011 - Page 83 - Salvador Garca Ruiz carries out the adaptation of Natalia Ginzburg's novel Las voces de la noche, moving the action from an Italian village to a Spanish one, recreating its provincial environment.
