'The Gold Medal' is a 1984 Hindi-language spy film, produced by Sham Behl under the Time Films banner and directed by Ravikant Nagaich. It stars Jeetendra, Rakhee Gulzar, Shatrughan Sinha while Dharmendra in a special appearance. The music was composed by Shankar Jaikishan. Starting from 1969, this movie had faced many types of problems, so it's become a delay released movie and was released in 1984.

Plot



The film begins in a netherworld that controls the industrial sector and labor associations under the chieftain of Singh (K.N. Singh) who creates riots in the country. Once, a trade union leader Acharya (Dharmendra) protests against these oppressions and is assassinated. During that time, his follower Shatrughan (Shatrughan Sinha) holds proof of 'The Gold Medal' containing the transmitter from the homicide. Owing to mayhem the Govt appoints secret agent Gopal to break out the mystery. Immediately, he takes charge of tagging with another agent Shobha (Raakhe). Gopal learns that the gangs kingpin is under the veil and their trustworthy people are allotted this gold medal. Shatrughan continues the agitation, and Dewan Saab a Good Samaritan & patriot boasts to him. However, to foil him Singh tries to bribe but fails and extorts by handling a few photographs which deface him. So, Shatrughan maintains silence for a short run. During his investigation, Gopal is acquainted with a club dancer Bindu (Bindu) when the traitors indict him in her murder and stamp him as a criminal. Utilizing the opportunity, he double-crosses by enrolling in the treacherous organization and gamely intersects the hurdles. At last, with the succor of Shatrughan, Gopal ceases the organization and solves the suspense that the chair is Dewan Saab. Finally, the movie ends with Shatrughan moving forward with the mission left by Acharya.
