'Jaise Ko Taisa' is a 1973 Indian Hindi-language comedy film, produced by M. Saravanan and M. Balasubramaniam under the AVM Productions banner and directed by Murugan Kumaran. It stars Jeetendra, Reena Roy and music composed by R. D. Burman. The film is recorded as a 'Semi Hit' at the box office. The film is a remake of 1970 Kannada film 'Bhale Jodi'.

Plot



Vijay is a meritorious student, brought up by his destitute mother. Once, he diagnoses that she is suffering from blood cancer, and unaffordable to raise the fund. Hence, he attempts a robbery but the values nurtured by his mother thwart him. At the moment, he is surprised to see the owner of the house Vinod is identical. Listening to his heart-rending situation, Vinod comforts him with the amount. Indeed, Vinod the son of Zamindar is a callow who is raised as a scaredy-cat by his cold-blooded uncle Shyamlal to usurp his wealth. He is mercilessly drubbed by his uncles son Pashi for their hidden heritage treasure. Moreover, he is dopey and the ghost of his lover Radha haunts him. Knowing it, Vijay decides to restore his life as gratitude and they transpose. Then, Vijay retaliates on Shyamlal & Pashi and checks their ploys. In that process, he falls for a village girl Roopa younger sister of Radha. In tandem, Vinod is merry with the love and affection of the new family. Misinterpreting Vijay as the impostor of her sister Roopa rebukes him when he divulges the actuality and announces the existence of Radha. Now, Vijay discloses the mystery of the treasure and whereabouts of Radha. However, Shyamlal & Pashi detects it and seizes Vinod along with Vijays family. At last, Vijay rescues them and ceases the blackguards. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the marriage of Vijay & Roopa.
