'Return to Quag Keep' is a 2006 fantasy novel by Andre Norton and Jean Rabe.

Plot summary

Seven adventurers trapped in a medieval world regain their memories and learn that they are gamers from Earth and seek to return home.

Publication history

This is a sequel to Andre Norton's 1978 novel 'Quag Keep', the first novel based on a role-playing game.

Reception

A reviewer from 'Publishers Weekly' calls the book a "serviceable sequel to Norton's 'Quag Keep'", and comments: "For the most part, the story and characters lack the magic and imagination typical of the late SF Grand Master Norton at her best. While unrestricted by the gaming conventions of its predecessor, this remains stock fantasy that will appeal primarily to young readers and newcomers to the genre."(November 7, 2005). "Return to Quag Keep", 'Publishers Weekly' '252' (44): 58. http://www.publishersweekly.com/978-0-7653-1298-3

'Kirkus Reviews' called it "Derivative, stale rubbish."
